Misi + Almo

Misi and Almo chose to have a festival style wedding at Lake Hawea Holiday Park where they could celebrate all weekend with their friends and family. WOW, what a weekend full of love, feasting, laughter and partying!! You two really know how to throw an epic wedding!

I've known Misi and Almo a few years now from working on the local New Years festival Rhythm and Alps so it was really special to be able to help them create their dream wedding.
Misi wanted deep burgundy florals with loads of foliage, textures and instead of bouquets, floral hoops! A huge wedding party meant loads of buttonholes and how good does everyone look?!

Lisa, one of Misi and Almo's dear friends, grew some flowers and foliage especially for their wedding, in particular the red amaranthus which we incorporated into all the floral hoops and buttonholes.

For anyone who hasn't been to Lake Hawea Holiday Park for a get away - you crazy person, get in touch with them and book a get away right now!! They have several types of accommodation options and it's ridiculously beautiful. GO! NOW!

It was a huge couple days putting everything together and I'm very very grateful for my team of helpers Kate, Mike, Lisa and Ellie - couldn't have made it happen without you beauties!

Here's the photos by the beautiful and talented Lauren Constable - you shot the day perfectly and thank you for all the gorgeous shots of the flowers during set up! Can't wait to work with you again!!

Flower crowns

Back home after a busy weekend in Auckland doing flowers for some friends for their beautiful wedding yesterday. It's such a treat being able to create florals for loved ones!

No sneak peak photos available yet but I am looking forward to sharing the images of the bouquets and buttonholes once they are ready!

I'm a fan of flower crowns and feel the need to wear one at weddings and this time I got to make a matching twinsie crown for one of my Soul Sisters. I was tempted to wear the crown on my flight home today too….!!! xx

Autumn foliage foraging and brass vases

We were very lucky to have my granddad and his partner visiting from the USA over Easter weekend and for the couple dinners at home over he weekend I foraged for some foliage to create some winter arrangements in my new brass vases.

Absolutely loving the rich autumn tones with the contrast of the brass. Super excited to use these for some upcoming weddings with beautiful burgundy tones.

If you're interested in hiring the vases for your upcoming wedding or if you would like to discuss us doing your floral styling, drop is an email or fill out our enquiry form here .

On a side note I discovered the best Goats cheese at the Clyde food and wine festival, I'm now hooked on Raggedy Range cheeses, organic and from Central Otago, if you can find their cheese - buy some!

Brass Vases!

I've been collecting some beautiful brass vases in various sizes for some up coming weddings and I now have a collection of around 50 brass vases for hire!

I will be doing some photographs with them soon to show examples of how they can be set up, in the meantime if you're looking for brass vases for your upcoming wedding, get in touch to check availability.

Vases are $3 each to hire and I've started a collection of brass candle stick holders ($3 each to hire) so if you're looking for them as well drop me a message.

Winter Is Coming

I've been a little quiet on the social media front the last couple weeks while I've been busy working on the Audi quattro Winter Games and getting stuck into a couple assignments for my Diploma in Animal Homeopathy.

Getting excited about a beautiful wedding we're putting together the flowers for in Auckland on the 23rd for some dear friends. It's so nice to be able to help our loved ones create their dream day.

The weather is cooling down and winter is creeping in. The first of my Winter weddings is on June 3rd and I'm super excited to be working with deep reds / burgundy florals and loads of foliage.

Here's a little teaser from Misi and Almo's wedding in February, I can't wait to share all the photos!! The incredibly talented Lauren Constable has captured the wedding perfectly.
